Activities A
holiday at our house offers the opportunity to relax and wind down from
the stresses of life in the U.K. Our favourite activities are eating good
food at the local restaurants and lazing around on the terrace and reading
a good book

Hiking / Rambling For those of you who like to stretch your legs, the surrounding area offers miles of paths and walkways to explore.If you head for the hills of the Serra do Lousã you will find villages untouched by time, built from the local stone. If you're not feeling so energetic there are tours of the area in 4 x 4 jeeps that will show you the places of interest.

Paragliding If you are feeling particularly adventurous, you can go paragliding. An experienced paraglider will accompany you on an hours flight from the Serra da Lousã down into the valley below.

Swimming Lousã
has a new swimming pool just outside the town. There is also a 'natural
pool' below the castle and next to Burgo restaurant.

Canoeing There
are daily trips down the Mondego river from Penacova to Coimbra for 15

Go Karting At
Carnide, near Pombal, is a huge outdoor go karting centre. The track is
over 1 km long and offers karts of 270cc. Minimum of 10 karts, maximum
of 20. |

Cycling Mountain bike hire is available in Lousã with biking trips around the hills. |

|
4 x 4 offroading Tours are available locally in jeeps across the local hills. The guide will show you points if interest in the Serra da Lousã. |

Other activities There is also horse riding, ten pin bowling, climbing and other activities in the area. |
